Upton park will always be special to you hammers supporters but, with a growing population, there is a need for all major clubs to increase their capacity. I wish Chelsea would knock down that bloody hotel and increase their crowd. If we don't expand then only the rich will be able to get in the stadium as they'll increase prices to compensate. It's supposed to be the "working man's" game, not for the "elite" who belong at Twickenham (btw please note the quotation marks). If we can accomodate more people then we can keep prices down and improve the atmosphere at games. That's how you build a home ground "fortress" - it's the crowd, not the location. Arsenal just moved their library up the road a bit.

Fairweather fans do that mate. I've always been Chelsea and I have 2 friends who also support their club for life even though the clubs are Southampton and Bradford. You can change your wife but you never change your club in my opinion.

Liverpool have had plenty of bad publicity in the past yet you appear to have gotten over that. We don't like all the abuse we're getting for having all the money etc but we're not going to let it affect our support of our team. Liverpool need the money because they can't get to the top in the "conventional" way. That went out the window when all the clubs became plcs. They are businesses whether we like it or not and they are there to make a profit out of us. You may hate us but when I watch Chelsea I'm not only supporting the players on the pitch, I'm still cheering for Ossie, Chopper and all the other players who've helped make the club the one for me. That's our history and I'm proud of it.
