    It all depends how we are doing in January when Beckham is likely to move. If we are doing well he might sign him to consolidate (a bit like the Larsson signing). If we are doing poor (3rd/4th or worse!) then people would demand a few big signings so couldn't see it happening.

    No it should never be allowed to happen as if it did it would start happening around Europe. The portugese league is poor so would Porto, Sporting and Benfica be able to join the Spanish league? It would just be a step nearer the euro super league which i don't think any fan really wants.

    Recently Arsenal have only finished top 4 because Wenger is a top manager but that still doesn't make it acceptable. A few years ago you were always challenging the fact is too many players with experience have been replaced by players with none. Each year we hear "this will be the year" but it never quite happens. Players like Viera, Gilberto may of been past their peak but how good would it of been for yound players like diaby having these players around to learn from.

    Shay Given is the best in the prem, better than van der sar and Cech who both have quality defences in front of them.
    Casillas and Buffon would be 1 and 2 with Given third.

    Rooney scored and Owen had 4 chances yet people say they didn't play well together?!

    Thought i'd reply as this is only non "join my group if......." message.

    How could you judge a mistake to deduct points though?
    So what if a striker scored a hat trick with only 3 chances but another scored 1 goal but had 9 SOT's. Surely the first striker is better but the second would get more points.

    Can i just ask why Darren Bent is labelled an overrated­ flop despite scoring 12 in 33 in the league and 17 in­ 43 in all comps. Yet Tevez is labelled world class and­ worth every penny despite scoring 5 in 29 league games­ and 15 in 51.

    If Anyone has an answer to this please­ enlighten me.

    If anyone says scoring Ratio, please­ look back at Tevez record last season. 11% chances­ converted. Think Bent was in the mid twenties of­ chances converted.

    So Please can anyone clear this up?­ Change the countries they play for and you could­ probably change the "world class" and­ "flop" tags around.

    You are spot on with Given. It is only because his international team is average at best and he played for a god awful club side for years that he isn't rated higher. Peter Cech and Vander sar would of not been able to do what he did at Newcastle.
