Must help your head ache! Eh Mike. Shame we don't play the gooners more, we seem to be able to score against them. Just need to cut out the mistakes... ours and the ref/linesman. 2 bad calls last night helped Arsenal to the first 2 goals then Hutton giving a lovely throughball to Adebayor for VP to score. Great spectacle though, real english type game.

I totally agree with you on the Hud. Lennon and Bale in a club in turmoil aspect but I still feel Jenas is too inconsistent even when he's had a run in the team.
Yes he's made the England squad and yes he's supposedly wanted by Morinho but why can't he perform week in week out for Spurs?

I also agree with someone else's post about bringing Bale on last night to get rid of his never been in a winning league team.
Although I thought he had, just never started in one.

Morning John, it's not that I have a Downer on him, as you put it, it's just that he never appears to have that quality I expect from a Spurs player.
Yes although we have a lot of talented players, I know there are plenty of others in the squad that come under that heading, but they don't play up front and their errors aren't so magnified as those of a striker's.
This position really highlights the player's quality touch and their vision to see what's happening around them.
I'm afraid IMO Bent has no vision of other player's position and his touch let's him down too often.
He doesn't seem to notice a player's run past him, into a more dangerous position, crying out for a little through ball into the space. His supposed touch was there for all to see when he cost us 2 vital points, missing that sitter in front of goal a couple of weeks ago.

On the funnier side, Harry's missus obviously has better ball control, although I don't think they have a lot of kids. Lol Tee Hee!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Fair comment John.
But I'm afraid I like to see more contribution from a stiker than just a goal tally. 15 might seem good but if that's the only contribution then I'm sorry that's not good enough.
Keane and Berba both scored 20+ goals and had as many assists. I just can't see Bent having many ticks in the assisting column.
    Strickly my opinion.

Morning Nige....Haven't watched the game yet only some of the highlights. Pundits seem to be saying we did alright. Always a reason for losing.
Shows how bad we have become don't it???
We're getting as bad as Harry, looking for excuses.
Not good enough to score from penalties? Man Utd goalkeeping coach had videos there of Spurs penalty takers and where they put the shots!
I'm impressed with that, that is good preparation.
    GOD HELP US.

Don't forget we also have to beat the officials up at Old Traford!!!!
Remember the goal that wasn't given. That would have given us a 1-0 win.
Still can't work out how Harry's going to fit Defoe into the team.

Will he rotate with the captain? I don't think so.

Will he play 4-3-3? Perhaps at home.

Will he play without a tall man up front? He'll have to get the team to stop hacking the ball upfield in hope if they do.
    Anyone any suggestions?

All in all the results made it a good weekend for us yids. No one below us of any significance managed a win. Unless Everton are coming into the equation.
City and Fulham losing, Villa and Liverpool drawing, just a bloody shame about the Gooners. Still we started 5th and ended up 4th despite the heroics from Myhill. Just hope we can get a good result at Anfield on Wednesday. We certainly shouldn't go there in fear of them, although they really fought well against Stoke and were unlucky not to have all 3 points. Hard place to get a result.

H been a yiddo for more than 50 years. Spent 60's and 70's going to WHL one week and Highbury the next. My mate was a gooner! Was even at WHL when you did the double. All good fun when we met up, used to use the same pub in Turnpike Lane and played for the same darts team. I went to his wedding and he to mine.
No problems then with gooners and none now. Nice to have honest sensible football comments from any body on here.
IT IS JUST the f..ing wind-up idiots that come on our board. I don't visit yours why do they come on here with their insane rubbish comments??? I just end up blocking them.
