And that is a full house! Although the plan is we get two teams each, if 8 more people want to play I'm sure we can cope with one team each...
I’m going to make the tiers from bookies odds, and will put a list up on the Spurs board of which teams are in each list. At random, I’m going to number the first list 1-8 and letter the second list A-H (but I won’t put the numbers & letter up when I put the lists up). Once I’ve put the lists up, I’ll need you all to pick a number and a letter to decide your teams, and I’ll take the last 2.
In the interest of being seen to be fair, please don’t put your numbers and letters up until I’ve put the tiers – I won’t have numbered/lettered them until I do that.
And Alfy’s not in, so maybe we can all play nice ;) -

I like to think of myself as more of a Spurs fan than an Arsenal hater, but the lovely aidencpj's recent messages are causing me to feel quite smug about this.
If nothing else, how exciting! Everyone loves a bit of controversy! -

I know the current away form is frustrating, and there are definite holes in our play to be considered, but what's going on here? You're supposed to be SUPPORTERS, that's people who give support. It's fair enough to acknowledge difficulties & discuss them, but this bitching about the club is ridiculous, what difference will it make?
I'll be honest, I didn't think we'd win saturday, I thought it'd be 1-1 or 2-1 to them. But I still watched it with faith that we could win, & I still think our play was better than that result. Have intelligent conversation about the team's failings, but quit your whinging & get behind them - the only way a fan makes any difference to a team's play is by getting down there, singing their praises & giving the players a boost.
COYS - Bring on Middlesborough! -

Umm...
Man U last year: they still had the FA Cup to play for but they'd won the league and go to the CL semis so weren't really bothered about it. Results before that: 6 wins in 8, 22 goals scored, and only one loss. after that:
Premiership Chelsea 0–0 Manchester United (this one's the killer) Premiership Manchester United 0–1 West Ham United
FA Cup Manchester United 0–1 Chelsea
But you're right, they'd never give less than 100% (?!?!???)
It's human nature, if you've been working your ass off for ages and you finally get some credit for it, and you've still got work to do afterwards but it's essentially irrelevant, then it's really hard to motivate yourself for it, that's logical - there's no point being at full throttle your whole life, you'll burn out. We just need the team to learn to turn it on sometimes. -

As I'm so excited, I'll let you know who you've got as we go along...
You're doing quite well so far:
Kipps: You have Italy and Sweden!
Sam: Learn your alphabet ;) A-H, I comes after H! I'll let you know once you've repicked a letter
Berlin: You have France and Croatia, but most importantly, NOT GERMANY!!!
I bet I get left with Russia :( -

Umm... Let's see... Now what have several managers in the Premier League described Berbatov as? Oh, that's it: "World Class".
And several mangers and players in the league described Keane as? Oh yeah, "World Class".
Even Defoe - according to Harry and others he's World Class.
In some quarters (although admittedly fewer) Mido's one of that group too.
So that's 4 of our last 5 strikers.
One thing we've had in abundance lately is strikers, think before you type.
To everyone else, I'm sorry, I know we're supposed to ignore him and hope he goes away, it was just the mind-blowing stupidity and lack of footballing knowledge that had to be corrected. -

I'm hoping he's starting to realise he's not as good as he thought he was - every time I see a written report of a Liverpool match there's a mention of a match winning chance he's wasted, it makes me happy.
Iron, what's your view on Curb now? -

God Bless September 1st! But what a rubbish day for me to be starting a new job - you're supposed to look on the ball on the first day aren't you? Oh well, I'm only here two weeks...
Anyway, my favourite story of the day: http://www.sofiaecho.com/article/manchester-city-make-cheeky-bid-to-steal-berbatov-from-under-united-s-nose/id_31496/catid_71
I'd actually pay to see that happen, I think it'd be hilarious! -

Apologies P..., as has been explained elsewhere there have been a lot of arseholes lately and I think we've all about had our fill of them. I have absoutely no problem with you having a different opinion, in fact I enjoy the debate it brings, but a lot of people have been coming onto these boards and stirring or getting abusive, it gets difficult to weed through the crap and see the genuine posts when there are perceived inconsistencies and I'd just had my fill of the shit.
I humbly apologise, and welcome to the debate! You'll have to forgive Irons, he's a Hammer, what can you expect? ;)
I know not everyone thought Jol was all that (I obviously think you're all wrong and if he was given anywhere near the freedom Ramos has had we'd be looking at the CL now), but my thoughts are regardless of your opinion about where he could or couldn't have taken us, he had the squad playing as a proper team for the first time in years, and was even if he couldn't taken us to the next level he was perfect for bringing us to UEFA places. The fact that he also brought in exciting attractive football was a welcome bonus.
