    Newcastle V Bolton...?
All the talk is about Newcastle in all the media there is only flirting comments about other teams.
It reminded me of when KK left in 1996 - it was Front page news and main item headline and even on Newsnight and political programmes.Even the PM commenting on it..

Guess I know what Match Of The Day will be.

P.S. Anyone know where 'Potato Head' and S Mc Cabbage are? Some reports say that they're both hung from the balls of the same lampost

It looks as though Quinny has found Lawrie McMenemy's old plan in the drawer of his office.

0 points from 9 ( looks supsiciously like something a few years ago when the great man was advising on England strategy whilst poor old Sunderland were anchored to the bottom with null points!!

Tap Newcastle up for a few players - you could have Dyer for nowt but I honestly don't think he'd get out of your treatment room

Shearer will never be Newcastle manager - he's too clever and much too rich to risk being turned over from a hero to a pariah if he failed. The safest groud is as a TV pundit. If he became manager and hadn't pulled something off within 12 months they'd be shouting for his head as well.
Newcastle are going nowhere (about 15th position)
The best bet is to wait until the end of the 2006 world cup and try and get SG Erikkson (forget about these bluffers and jokers like Allardyce.
It's back to the drawing board for Newcastle

....it is clearly knee jerk decision by the berks at the FA.

The FA knew they were going to be stood up by everyone else so they went for him... one thing is certain is he will turn English National team football on its head.. and its uncertain how the public, media and players will take to it... and whether ir will be successful.
The whole structure of the set up will be turned continental style -- whether that matches with EPL stuff is another thing..

Only some weeks to the new season and its time somebody realised that its not going to be an easy season ahead. RVN & Ronaldo away -- As for Rooney --Too much pressure on him with the injury and getting to the World Cup where he did nothing which has bound to have knocked his confidence --- big strategy switch needed

I don't think it's realistic to believe that Utd will win the league next year, although they will probably win a cup - they are in a complicated period of rebuilding transition and change which will take time.

I would trust AF judgement on what he is doing in not buying.

On paper Chelsea are untouchable - the thing that will beat them is anti-Chelsea mentality building up inside and outside of the game.

Liverpool look to be pretty strong(Bellamy will run riot next season).

Arsenal are rebuilding but look capable of doing something special next season with the new stadium and crop of new young players.

Then Utd have got to see how the World cup problems pan out - Rooney didn't do very well
Ronaldo ( I don't think he'll last long with the constant baiting - even from Man U Fan.

So I predict a 1 horse race followed by Liverpool, Arsenal and Man utd

Thanks - Just speaking on behalf of most people who believe you cannot deny facts.
I responded with some more facts on the Newcastle board.
Also, apart from piss taking rivallry there is no hate amongst MU & NU fans.
Infact I think SAF has a soft spot for Newcastle - When Andy Cole made his return to Newcastle in a Man U shirt he was given a standing ovation - and the crowd went out of their way to pay tribute to him. AF afterwards was obviously moved by this and went on to say if MU didn't win the league he hoped Newcastle would. I think Man U won 1 or 2 0. Also in the game where at Newcastle where they NU were 5 0r 6 1 down to Man U -- MU took their foot off the pedal to save embarassment --Newcastle were simply outclassed. - I was watching this as a Newcastle supporter -
I've been in town in Newcastle on the days of matches and come acroos Man Utd supporters who seemed to be having a good time (even when we won 5-0) And I understand it is the same when Ncle fans go to Manchester.

My posts were made in concern for the club I supported since I was 10 and I think its a pity we are going to miss the boat when it leaves for the Big time and European leagues.
Its all been down to what I think are the board room being in the hands of the likes of McKeags and Westwoods during the 50s through to late 80s'-- No understanding or connection at all with the people supporting the club- and despite given our chance in the 90's to win the championship (with a 12 point lead) we blew it.

2nd chances don't come begging without GOOD Judgment which brings LOTs of Luck

CJ - I didn't mention SG - the thread started with a question about a suggested foreign takeover. I merely gave an insight the nationality of possible buyers.

    Note:
And it was "dogs" not "pigs" that the brothel creeping spiv directors at NUFC described the local ladies.
