Woke up this morning to a call from my brother in Holland, He is a managing director for Heineken and had promised me 4 tickets for the final, However there seems to be some sore Barca losers who work for him and I now have 16, which will raise if Real Madrid fail to prgress.
Anyway my kids school will benefit when I give them some tickets, and the local hospice will beneift from whatever i get from the raffle for the remainig tickets.
A great night to come in Munich, and as an Arsenal fan I am sad that it is not my team(probably won't be for a few years by the look of things). Mixed emotion as if Arsenal finish third it would be sweet to see Tott miss out by a Chelsea Triumph, but also part of me wants to see Ca$hley Cole crying again.
So a nuetral i guess, and hopefully a good night out. -

A change of brewing and fermenting techniques at Stamford Bridge has converted a thin over-carbonated 1% ABV lite lager into a rich, oak-barelled, twelve years old matured malt whisky in just two months.
Must be the addition of the RDM enzyme to solid hearty ingredients.
Let's hope the head brewer gets proper recognition. -

I am not arguing the merits of Drogba vs Torres. Currently Drogba is the better player. With the limited supply yes Drogba scores more than Torres. The problem is THE LIMITED SUPPLY. We have two centre forwards who between them in four competitions have managed a total of 18 goals!!!

Basically Torres is a china doll that you need Alter your entire team to play counter-attacking foorball to accomodate Torres.. Even then Drogba plays better when gets the chance -

Agree with you Moose, even Messi would struggle to get more than 20 goals with the service our midfield supplies. The amount of time we take to get the ball from defence to attack is recorded on a calendar not a stopwatch (I will exempt Mata from any criticism).

Torres is not solely to blame for his troubles.
Distinct lack of service from midfield is shocking. Torres work rate has been excellent this season. Far too often he can been seen making all the right runs and getting in the right places, but the pass never arrives.
The wonderous Sturridge, who seems immune from critisism, is way too selfish for a wide role and not a team player. Kalou often has trouble controlling the ball, let alone supply an end product. Malouda at times is like a stagnant pond, no life what so ever, more side ways passes than David Batty!
Many of Chelsea's problems were evident last season, time to take off the blinkers and look at the bigger picture. -

£50 million for Torres (prevented Sturridge from finding a role as front man, alternative and following on from Drogba.
And £28 million to fire Ancelotti/hire ABV (1%).
Ah well. All came out of Roman's walkabout money - and less than a new fitted yacht & plane! -

Scottish, Brazilian and English youths about to make it biG.
Do watch out for Izzy Faruz (still 16), Lucas Piazon (looks and plays like Kaka) and Nathaniel Chalobah (Chelsea's new John Terry - captain at every youth level for England and Chelsea).

Thankyou James.
It's not a strange idea at all.
Surprising how many Barca fans (wannabees of course) have come out of the woodwork to wish desperately for Chelsea to be thrashed home and away.
What they don't understand is that it would signify a complete collapse of the Premier League vis-a-vis the Spanish League! With the result that we (England) lose one of our four CL entitlements.
And the premier league would collectively and ultimately be the poorer!
If Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, United (or even Spurs - LOL) were the last English team represented then we should all be supporting them....though while more than one English team remains in the competition it is understandable for all partisan fans to wish to see their domestic 'enemies' removed from their own path to the Final! -

Its only two feet longer than Stamford Bridge and exactly the same width.
I don't think that extra twelve inches in each half is gonna be Chelsea's problem.
Just the way they locate opponents' fans right up in the gods causes the atmosphere problem!
113x74 as against 115x74.
Now: The Emirates....there's a bigger pitch!!! -

Very few Chelsea fans have rubbished Torres. He has been very popular with the fans at the Bridge. -

About 40 Chelsea 'fans' disrespected what is actually an debasement of grief to have been held in front of Wembley; whereas 40,000 Sp*rs fans departed early.
Only the media chose to highlight the one over the other because of a mis-understood belief that holding a minute's silence at 6.00pm hundreds of miles and twenty three years after Hillsboro has any relevance to the two teams competing at Wembley.
I'm with Alan Davies on this one. It was a perversion of real grief to force this upon the Wembley throng. It will NOT be done again!
Applause would have been better!
Personally I missed the minute's silence and was making a cuppa. Misplaced pseudo-grief. Hopefully the living members of the culpable Police at Sheffield in 1989 were respecting the silence!
