kevin. i could have written that myself, i am getting to thinking that i am the only one who can see that lee johnson is in fact holding us back.he is taking up the shirt of many better midfielders we have had or have now ie, noble williams skuse carle , all better but no chance if johnson is fit, gary will put 3 or 4 in and juggle midfield rather than just leave him out thus hiding him. we desperatley need a strong midfielder who can dictate, and have done for ages but that would mean dropping his son and it wont happen so for me gary is not picking our strongest side available, i txt geof twentyman every friday nite through season saying that but he says if lee johnsons name was different we would not be saying it . thats right if his name was not johnson he would not be anywhere near championship football,i dont see any other clubs after him and only time without his dad he didnt last 5 mins (hearts). truns sat behind front would be better . marvin is a workhorse not a creator so get a creative player in now. this will be a defining season for gary i think we will struggle

lee trundle is a quality player who hasn't been given a chance to shine in his true position, he has a fantastic touch, takes a brilliant set piece(not given any chance to do so at city) just because he doesn't run his @#$% off like a workhorse, johnson won't play him(instead he sticks with his son, who is his achillies heel, his son, can't tackle(quite important in central midfield) can't go past a player, can't head the ball, rarelypasses further than 2 yards) can't take a free kick..in fact he is a waste of time, the captain got dropped last year for accusing him of hiding on the pitch..ITS TRUE he's awful he loses possesion far to often) lee trundle won't get a chance to shine under gary johnson FACT I am a massive admirer of GJ but have always said his judgement is clouded when it comes to his son, many believe the team sheets are pre printed and last year they always looked like this

gutted to lose him on loan and a permanent mood will probably follow he is miles better than mcindoe who shoots at every oppurtunity( 8th highest shot taker in the league and the worst goals to shot ratio) trundle takes on players and rarely loses the ball mcindoe very rarely takes on players and loses the ball often still he wont drop his son either i am a great fan of gary johnson and i am very thankful for how far he has taken us, but i feel he needs to change the midfield before buying another striker!!!

Unfortunately; because Mr Lansdown and Mr Johnson are so secretive with informing the Fans how much money we have to spend on improving the side; it's difficult to say who we can buy without knowing how much you got to spend.
It's like me saying to the Wife; go and book a holiday however I'm not going to tell you what our budget is.
Lansdown and Johnson has to be more open with the Fans; he will earn more respect that way and we will have more clarity on what the Reds spending budget really is.
Once we are aware of this and of the wages constraints then we could target the relevant players.
It would be good to have some Premiership experieinced type players but can we afford them?

The match at Blackpool was a cagy affair, city not at full flow yet as match fitness takes half a dozen matches. Blackpool did take the game to city having quite a few chances, and it looked like city were going to go down to a few goals. But to bristol citys beguile they held strong believed in themselves then in the right substitution brooker came on and scored the right goal. We have nothing but praise for our manager who once again proved how good he is gary we love you to bits. Our new striker maynard had a good start but needs time to settle in. After all coming from a lower league takes time to adjust but looks good on the ball and nearly scored twice so all the very best for the future do it for us we know you can. But a great away win to start the season we will take that witch sets us up nicely for Derby well done lads.
