Hey, Dunster, it's good to see you posting on this board...or anyone! I've almost stopped checking it for new messages - thanks, Yahoo!
It was a bad term for both the Blues and Leeds - our clubs' fates seem to be linked - but we'll come back stronger in the 2013-14 season!
    Congratulations to Badford City today!

You City guys obviously rated Mancini then Dunst. I don't know though, maybe I'm wrong, but he always came across a bit arrogant to me, sort of difficult to approach, a point which the media mentioned this morning. Who do you fancy for the job?

Well it's been a painful week to be a blue. Absolutely gutted about Mancini being axed as are 90 percent of blues. We can handle the cup defeat as Wigan thoroughly deserved it and we didn't turn up. We loved Bobby Manc as we call him at our club. He's made mistakes but which managers haven#$%$ the snakes behind the scenes that have done this. Brian Marwood in particular. It makes you sick when the people upstairs #$%$ about with your club. I don't need to remind you all about that as it has buggered your fine club up for the last five years or so.
Anyway, good luck to you all next year including Alan and The Pool. It was strange watching Hull the other day as I kept wondering whether easy was biting his nails off. Turns out the Leeds lads helped him out big time. Is he a peacock or a tiger as Andy rightly questions? Come on Easy come clean.

What do you reckon Pool's chances are of bouncing back up? And how do you rate Kavanagh as a potential manager? I remember him as a half-decent player in Roy Keane's Sunderland but didn't know that he had managerial experience... Use Easy's tab to buy him a few drinks in you local and get back to us with the inside track.
Georgie Best used to drink in our local.

Looks like they just gave Hughes till the end of the season to perform a miracle. Graham Kavanagh's favourite for the job, funnily enough he lives around the corner from me and drinks in our local. It could make sense, he lives 7 miles from the club.

Talking of Bates, I expect him to be on the list of tax dodgers with offshore accounts that HMRC is going after. It would be so good to see him brought to book after so many years of "getting away with it". We might even find out who owns ER and Thorp Arch!

I think he would make a great manager in Division 2 and he could then achieve the record number of promotions he wants. Don't think he will come further north than the south coast anymore as he is likely to get his head bitten off. Also probably wouldn't do it unless Bates told him to!
    It's a NO from me!

Easy should come on the Leeds board (what's left of it) and explain his colours - are they white and true or yellow and black! . Well done Hull but without Bates think where Leeds may be... Somewhere Hull will never be - WACCOE!

Well I kept up my useless predictions, and very pleased I am too.
After watching the match we were excellent defensively, but still too much hoofball for me. Watford showed how to pass the ball out of defense which although they lost the game seemed more effective to me.
Am I going to be answering all my own posts now as everyone seems to have vanished?

Well what can I say. Another year of disappointment, but hey ho life goes on.
Despite my resolve not to make any predictions I am afraid I think we will get wolloped 3-0 at Watford, who won't want to miss their chance of auto-promo.
To think that we played them in the play off final in our first year of relegation, the gap has widened enormously. They do seem to be seem to be going about things in a unique way, and good luck to them.
Somewhat astounded by some of the kids who have been let go only a year after they were hailed as very bright prospects,

It's a dirty rotten shame - three great teams in three tiers and every one a loser! It won't always be this way; our day will come - City will do the double over Manure, Pools will bounce back, and Leeds... Hmmm; I'm moderately optimistic about our new manager (I'd be more optimistic if we too could get backing from rich Arabs); but this new shirt with a broad blue stripe down the front is not White. The new shirt seems to indicate the divisions, uncertanity, and lack of identity at Leeds; it's logical progression will see Leeds in the following season playing in shirts with a broad yellow stripe on their backs...
No, sorry Al, I will not buy this new shirt; I'll get my all white Strongbow shirt out of mothballs and wear it until LUFC and its 'new owners' take Leeds fans seriously.

Thanks Dunster, it's always good to hear from you - your comments usually put supporting our various teams in a rational perspective.
Good luck to you and yours next term... I'd say "give Fergie a bloody nose" but, hey, he could light Santa's slay without any help from City!

Well I have read some rubbish in my time, but Bates interview in the YP is just about the greatest ever.
Bates, who had expected the takeover to be completed in August last year instead of December, told the Yorkshire Post: "What people won't be aware of is that two clauses were included in our agreement with GFH.

"One was that we could make no material change without consulting GFH, while the other was that Neil Warnock had to stay as manager.

"It meant any player bought or sold from June (2012) onwards had to be discussed and approved by (Leeds director) Salem Patel, on behalf of GFH.

"We were happy to do that because, as I say, we thought the takeover would go through during the summer.

"Unfortunately, it didn't and, instead, the deal wasn't done until December 21. A consequence was that we had to keep Neil Warnock.

"I wanted to sack him in October because I didn't think it was working out. But I couldn't because of what was happening with the sale."

Bates added: "The plan when I came in was to get Leeds back in the Premier League but, unfortunately, that has not been possible."

Have you ever read such tosh!!! Good riddance to bad rubbish!

Nice one, Dunster. Didn't realise that the prawns had spread right across the city. Still, you're engulfed in show business where you are, all part of the top clubs scenario I suppose.
At the other end of the spectrum there's Pools United, who've got the best 4,000 fans in the country. They got a standing ovation the weekend gone for going down, crazy as it seems. The fans know what's going on, limited cash, so can't attract really decent players. But still the show goes on.
Lads on here are in the sulks at the minute but they'll come storming back. Tom's been sat in the toilet for week because the Cornish pasties are fighting back.. Andy's not happy about the new shirt, but he's ordered one.
H---We'll get £200,000 for our keeper, Flinders. And struggle to hang onto Luke James and Jack Baldwin.
