JAMES TOSELAND AFTER TAKING SEVENTH ON THE GRID: "It's a really difficult track out here, especially because in the middle of corners you have to get your speed really right to get the second part really good. Congratulations to Colin, he's been running great all day and pole position for the team is really good."
08:05 Jorge Lorenzo loses his streak of poles, but does an amazing job in achieving a fourth. Lorenzo, mind you, almost crashed again today, but somehow managed to retain control of his bike and ultimately run a stunning lap. With Edwards in pole position it means that Yamaha on Michelin have taken every single pole position this year.

Valentino Rossi improves his time to 1:58.494 in the final lap as this qualifying session has come to a close, but he still trails by 0.355 from Edwards, who ran an absolutely storming final lap.
07:59 Capirossi moves fifth (1:58.941) to knock Toseland down the grid, but then Pedrosa overtakes him (1:58.855) doing more damage to the Briton, who will now finish the day on seventh (1:59.254).
07:56 As the flag goes up Colin Edwards sets a qualifying record of 1:58.139 to grab a last-second pole position from former team-mate Valentino Rossi!!
07:53 Lorenzo overtakes Edwards to move to the front row of the grid on 1:58.711!!
07:51 Our man James Toseland goes fifth all the way from 15th!! A brilliant run from the reigning World Superbike Champion who has likely earned himself a place on the second row with 1:59.254.
07:50 The Doctor takes provisional pole!! A storming run from the Italian, who goes clear on 1:58.552 with just five minutes left in qualifying.
07:48 Stoner has extended his advantage in the pole position: 1:58.591
07:44
The young Spaniard, who currently shares the Championship lead, couldn't even walk yesterday and today he is on his bike..... And Lorenzo goes fourth!! He is currently on the backrow of the grid for tomorrow's race, right behind Rossi (1:59.116) at 1:59.130.
07:44
And amazingly, Jorge Lorenzo, who had a horrible scare in the first free practice session yesterday crashing badly and flipping in mid-air before hurting his ankle, is on the track today for the qualifying session!
07:39 And a brilliant second lap from Casey Stoner earns him provisional pole position in 1:58.860!
07:37 Nicky Hayden has crashed coming onto the backstraight, with the front just running away from him! And he looks uninjured fortunately.... And is back on the bike and heading for the pit.....
07:35 And back-to-back we've seen Valentino Rossi take provisional pole from Capirossi, and Nicky Edwards immediately snag the top spot from him in 1:59.088.
