Live Commentary

  1. 43' Terol and Espagaro in fourth and fifth, making it Spanish riders in top five place. Webb the best Briton back in eighth spot. Thanks for joining us.

  2. 42' Huge highside from 16-year-old Marquez as he pushed for third place and the Spaniard crashes on the final lap. Thankfully he's up and looks ok.

  3. 41' And Simon takes the chequered flag, Gadea in second and Olive in third.

  4. 40' Simon into his final lap as he sails past the back markers.

  5. 38' Marquez, in fifth, also has his eyes on the podium with just two laps to go.

  6. 36' Scrap between Olive and Terol for third place looks like it's going to go down to the wire. But it appears Olive is going to get himself a podium in Germany with four laps to go.

  7. 39' Simon is not easing off at all. He's got a comfortable lead with five laps to go but the Spaniard is a racer and does not want to change his approach too much, despite his advantage.

  8. 31' Webb has moved up to ninth but a mistake from Redding has seen him slip back to 14th.

  9. 28' Simon now just over 6.2 seconds clear of Gadea with just nine laps to go. Barring an accident, the Spanish rider looks to have this one in the bag for his second win of the season.

  10. 26' Redding and Webb the leading Brits in 10th and 11th with 10 laps top go.

  11. 24' Folger has gone, trying to push a little too hard.

  12. 20' 15 laps remaining and there's only one rider in it. Simon's lead now more than five seconds and the Spaniard has a clear track in which to build his lead.

  13. 16' Olive has taken over from Corsi in fourth spot, breaking Aprilia's hold on the top four places.

  14. 15' Simon's lead now almost five seconds with 17 laps to go.

  15. 12' Gadea in second, Terol third and Corsi fourth, making it Aprilia in top four positions.

  16. 9' 22 laps to go and Simon looking comfortable as he builds up a three second lead.

  17. 3' A nightmare start for Bradley Smith and the Englishman's race is over already as he came unstuck after trying a little too hard, a little too early.

  18. 1' 27 laps of the German circuit and the riders are off. Storming start for Simon.

  19. - The riders are out on the grid with Aspar's Julian Simon in pole, and bradley Smith and Marc Marquez also on the front row.

  20. - Good morning and welcome to Eurosport's live text commentary of the 125cc German GP from the Sachsenring circuit.
