Live Commentary

  1. 0/20 GREAT BRITAIN'S BRADLEY SMITH WINS THE ITALIAN MOTOGP 125CC CLASS!!! Smith goes back to the top of the championship with his victory. Terol is second, with Simon third. Redding comes in seventh. For full results and report visit our MotoGP homepage. Up next, the 250s!!

  2. 1/20 Here we go, the last lap!! Smith is holding on for dear life. Simon is too far back to challenge.

  3. 2/20 Terol is right on Smith's tail, hanging on his back wheel and waiting to make a killer move. Can Smith hold him off!

  4. 3/20 We're headed for a grandstand finish in this 125cc race. Smith leads from Terol, but Simon has slipped back a touch and his chance could be gone.

  5. 5/20 Redding and Cortese are in an almighty battle for fourth. Smith still leads, from Simon, then Terol.

  6. 6/20 SMITH IS INTO THE LEAD!!! What a race we have on our hands at Mugello. Six laps to go.

  7. 7/20 Sandro Cortese has battled his way into eighth from way back.

  8. 8/20 Smith is now in second, sandwiched between Terol and Simon. Redding is fourth.

  9. 10/20 Smith and Redding are in third and fourth respectively. Smith appears to have lost some of his early speed, but he's hanging in there. Terol leads

  10. 11/20 Smith slips back to third, as Simon and Terol pass. The three are very tight together however and we will surely see these places change a few more times before the finish.

  11. 12/20 DANNY WEBB SKIDS OFF!!! What a shame for the Briton, who has been riding with real flair. He'll try and get back on, but his chances are gone.

  12. 13/20 It's Smith, from Simon, from Redding. Could this be a double-podium for GB? Webb is fourth.

  13. 14/20 Smith is pulling clear in Italy. He has a real chance to win from here. Meanwhile, Webb is having a storming race. He moves up to second, but slips back to fourth soon after. Iannone is back in the pits and not happy.

  14. 15/20 SMITH INTO THE LEAD!! He's really attacking this race. He has the bike to win from here and begins to draw clear. IANNONE IS OUT OF THE RACE!!!

  15. 16/20 Smith makes a move and drives in second. Redding goes the over way, he's down to fifth.

  16. 17/20 Simon leads from Terol, with Redding in third. Smith is in fifth. This is a real humdinger and anything could happen on this track.

  17. 18/20 REDDING INTO SECOND!!! Nicolas Terol is also past Iannone. Simon still leads.

  18. 19/20 Julian Simon now leads, with Iannone and Scott Redding in pursuit. Danny Webb of GB is back in 10th.

  19. 20/20 AND AWAY THEY GO!!! Scott Redding is off to a flyer and takes an early lead. But Andrea Iannone is brave and takes him soon after. Bradley Smith does not start well from pole.
