4' Stoner passes Barbera, and he is on the war path again as he muscles past the Pramac Racing rider. Lorenzo continues to lead, and he stretches his cushion.

5' Bradl is in third ahead of Dovizioso, and he has had a terrific ride on his LCR Honda - a quite brilliantly gutsy display from him!

6' Stoner barges his way past Bautista with some dirty tactics, sliding up the inside and colliding with the San Carlo Honda rider.

7' Ducati, of course, do their testing here, so they know this track like the back of their hands. Lorenzo continues to lead with a cushion of over three seconds.

8' Stoner appears to be having a few issues with his brakes, and he finds himself in 10th place after sliding off earlier on.

9' Hayden, who was heading the second row at the start, is now 2.234 seconds off the pace in fifth and struggling to make an impact.

10' Espargaro has faded away badly after starting from 12th, while Hayden has slipped to fifth and is under real pressure from Rossi.

11' Bradl, who started down in eighth, is now in third and really flying - what an effort from him!

12' Yonny Hernandez is out of the race! He slides off the track and tumbles off his bike! He sits there crestfallen, and his bike is taken away.

13' Stoner is off the track! The Australian loses his bearings and slides off the track, before slowly getting back involved. What a blow for him!

14' Pedrosa is establishing a gap between himself and Dovizioso, and he sets a lap time of 1:47.949.

15' Lorenzo sets a lap of 1:47.843 as he consolidates first place, and the Yamaha rider is pushing very hard.

16' Pedrosa is back in second place now, +1.555 off the lead and Lorenzo. It's beginning to really bunch up after Lorenzo.

17' This is the first time that Ducati have had two riders qualify in the top four places on the grid since the Portugese GP in 2010, remarkably!

18' Championship leader Lorenzo, who won the MotoGP race at Mugello last year, continues to lead after starting from second.

19' Dovizioso and Pedrosa exchange places as they continue to jostle for position, and that is a ferocious battle for second.

20' Barbera has qualified on the front row for the first time since moving up to the MotoGP, and he finds himself in seventh place now.
