Live Commentary

  1. - Still to come - the opening MotoGP race of 2008 at 8pm. James Toseland makes his debut in the elite class from second on the grid.

  2. - Pasini wins!! A really impressive final lap from the Italian. Hector Barbera second, Mika Kallio third and Alex Debon just missing out on the podium.

  3. 20/20 Last lap, with Debon sliding back to fourth after nearly losing the front. Pasini leads.

  4. 19/20 Two laps to go and Bautista slides well wide - yet somehow he clings on to the lead!

  5. 17/20 The front four of Barbera, Debon, Pasini and Kallio have closed right up, and this is anybody's.

  6. 15/20 Debon erodes Barbera's lead, which is now less than a second. A thrilling finale in store.

  7. 14/20 Movement up front, with Bautista slipping backwards - race order with six laps to go: Barbera, Debon, Pasini, Bautista, Kallio.

  8. 13/20 Marco Simoncelli has had a big slide, and his race is over, while Lukas Pesek also finds himself in the gravel.

  9. 12/20 Right! We have had technical problems all afternoon - but they appear to have been solved! Nine laps to go in this one with Bautista and Barbera still leading the way.

  10. 5/20 Bautista and Barbera are building a tidy gap between them and the rest of the field. Luthi pits from third for a ride-through.

  11. 3/20 Irishman Eugene Laverty is out, meanwhile Thomas Luthi must do a ride-through after jumping the start.

  12. 2/20 Thomas Luthi leads the way from Alvaro Bautista and Hector Barbera.

  13. 1/20 Away we go! And with reigning champion Jorge Lorenzo currently doing the business in MotoGP, it promises to be a wide-open season.
