    Another lay day in Tahiti

Conditions continued to disappoint at the Billabong Pro event in Teahupo'o, leading to a third consecutive lay day being called.

“There’s been a modest bump in swell this morning but the wind is not cooperating for us,” Rich Porta, ASP international head judge, said.

“We’re tracking a system towards the back end of the waiting period that looks like it will deliver solid surf, but we’ll be back each day to assess conditions and make an appropriate call then.”

Event organisers will again reconvene first thing in the morning, local time, to see if a fourth straight day without action can be avoided.
