    Best capture leaves Kean purring

Blackburn manager Steve Kean has spoken of his delight at capturing latest signing Leon Best.

Best, 25, completed his £3million switch from Newcastle on Monday evening, putting pen to paper on a four-year deal and he follows Kean's first summer signing Danny Murphy into Ewood Park.

"I had identified Leon Best and Danny Murphy as two major targets so to be able to secure both of them inside a week is a massive plus for us," Kean told the club's official website.

"I've known Leon since his time at Coventry City and he is a proven striker from the Premier League and also knows exactly what it takes to be successful in the Championship, so we're delighted to add Leon to the squad."
