Despite the fifth round stoppage loss to WBC champion Adrien Broner earlier this year, Rees's profile in the United States was raised, and the former light-welterweight champion believes there is more to come. Rees (37-2-1) takes on 'Million Dollar' Crolla (25-4) at the Bolton Arena, which he says is more or less Crolla's back yard.
"Crolla's one of the top lightweights in Britain. I've never boxed in Bolton before, so it goes to show I'll fight anyone, anywhere."
"The loss didn't change my perspective, I was straight back in the gym and training hard, back down to the nitty-gritty and trying to improve my style," he said.
"Everyone's asking about Ricky Burns and of course it would be a great fight, he's got the belts and that's why we're both chasing him.
"Training's gone well, the weight's good so hopefully I'll put on a great display and get myself back to the top of the tree."
