The contest, promoted by Dennis Hobson in association with Queensberry Promotions, comes about due to former champion Jamie McDonnell being stripped of the belt after failing to return a contract for a mandatory defence against Malinga.
McDonnell, formerly promoted by Hobson, secured the title with a gritty points win over Mexican Julio Ceja at the Keepmoat Stadium, Doncaster, back in May, and announced he had split with Hobson two weeks ago. Click here for the full saga.
Hall, 33, was also last out at the Keepmoat, securing a points win over American Sergio Perales for the IBF's Inter-Continental bauble. Back in 2011, he dropped a narrow decision to McDonnell for the British, Commonwealth and European belts. Hall is ranked No.3 by the IBF.
British welterweight champion Frankie Gavin will be on the undercard, and it is understood that 10,000 tickets will be available.
