Championship club Dewsbury have appointed former Great Britain forward Paul Broadbent as caretaker coach until the end of the season.
Broadbent, 44, who was assistant coach to John Kear at Wakefield up to the end of last season, will take over from Warren Jowitt, who left the position on Wednesday.
The Rams will advertise for a permanent successor to Jowitt on Monday and say Broadbent will automatically be included on the shortlist of applicants.
Broadbent's first game in charge will be the derby against Batley on Sunday, when he will pit his wits against Kear, whom he played under when winning the Challenge Cup with Sheffield Eagles in 1998.
