Brook, who took his professional record to 27 wins with no losses, turned on the style at the Motorpoint Arena as he raced out of the blocks and recorded a one-sided victory.
The fight was scored 118-109, 119-108 and 119-107 in favour of Brook by the three judges.
“I enjoyed it,” the 25-year-old said. “It was a spectacular night, now we're going to go on to bigger and better things as there's no-one to touch me in Britain."
Brook drew blood from Hatton’s nose before the end of the first round, with a series of combination punches.
That set the tone for the bout and Brook continued to dominate, despite a brief period in the fifth when Hatton connected with a couple of solid right hooks.
Hatton did well to go the distance after he was left on the canvas early in the ninth after Brook landed a sharp left encounter.
