    Bundesliga - Sponsors ditch Hoffenheim

Bundesliga strugglers Hoffenheim have been ditched by their Chinese sponsors one year before their deal was set to end.

In 2011 Hoffenheim, who are second bottom in the German top flight, signed a three-year contract with solar energy company Suntech, whose logo is emblazoned on kit and merchandise.

But financial problems within the sector have led Suntech to withdraw their business, which was costing them 4.5million euros a year.

There was no comment from Hoffenheim, who are reportedly shocked at the decision.

The club are 17th in the 18-team Bundesliga, five points ahead of bottom side Augsburg but four points behind 16th-placed Fortuna Dusseldorf, who occupy the relegation play-off spot.
