Eurosport - David Meyler (PA)
The 23-year-old, who has made five appearances for the Black Cats this season, will link up with his former boss Steve Bruce at the KC Stadium until January 1.
Meyler, who has represented Republic of Ireland on two occasions, will wear the number 31 shirt and is in the squad for Saturday's visit to Cardiff in the Championship.
