The calculation based on the lap times set in the three previous events (Italy, Spain and Morocco) identified the Chevrolet as the reference model and allocated 40 extra kilograms to the five cars ran by Chevrolet-RML and bamboo-engineering.
However the time gap between the Cruze and the BMW is only 0.3 seconds and therefore the German cars will be laden by the same 40kg compensation weight, meaning that they will be 20kg heavier than in the previous event.
The SEAT Leon WTCC will receive 20 extra kilos (10 less compared to Marrakech), while the other cars - SEAT Leon TDi, SUNRED Leon 1.6T and Ford Focus S2000 – will benefit from a 20kg reduction of their minimum weights.
