Bristol City boss Derek McInnes has confirmed that he is in discussions with former Cardiff goalkeeper Tom Heaton.
The Robins took Heaton and ex-Celtic defender Mark Wilson to their pre-season training camp in Spain.
McInnes says that 26-year-old stopper Heaton, who began his career with Wrexham before being snapped up by Manchester United, is a transfer target.
"We're in discussions with Tom and his representatives," the City manager told the club's official website.
"He's been with us for around 10 days now and there could be a deal to be done, but there's nothing concrete at this stage."
McInness added that Wilson spent a week training with the club but has since suffered a groin injury.
