Dana White Reveals Possible CM Punk Opponent; Talks McGregor, Mayweather and the Race Card

Like many fans at a Dana White question and answer session, it often pays for fighters to take a chance and ask the brash UFC boss for favors. It could be what determines CM Punk‘s first opponent in the Octagon.

“Hey Dana White, I don’t know if CM Punk (real name Phil Brooks) has an opponent, but I would love to fight that man,” Mickey Gall said after winning a fight on the debut episode of ‘Lookin' For a Fight,' the web-based reality web that White is using to find Punk's first opponent.

Ask and ye shall receive… maybe.

“I’m bringing Mickey Gall in and he’s going to fight a kid named Michael Jackson. They’re going to fight on the (UFC 196) prelims on February 6 on Fight Pass and if he wins that fight, Mickey Gall will fight CM Punk and CM Punk will be there at the fight to watch,” White revealed on Wednesday's edition of Off The Record.

He made no mention of Jackson getting the fight if he upsets Gall, but Gall has a winning Lotto ticket in his hand if he can win the bout. Regardless of Punk's lack of MMA experience, the former WWE Superstar's first fight in the Octagon is likely to be a huge draw, and likely a large payday for his first opponent.
