AFC Wimbledon boss Terry Brown has invited Charlie Strutton back for pre-season to fight for a new deal.
The 22-year-old striker is currently out of contract and failed to feature for the Dons since joining from non-league Chalfont St Peter.
Strutton was loaned to Maidenhead but returned when an ankle injury ended his season and Brown is ready to give him a chance to prove himself.
"We are keeping an open mind with Charlie," Brown told the Hounslow Chronicle.
"He's been very unfortunate with injuries, and would've got a chance with us at the end of the year had it not been for his ankle problem.
"He's having treatment with a specialist to get him 100 per cent right. We'll hopefully have another look at him in the summer."
