Glasgow centre Alex Dunbar has signed a two-year contract extension to tie him to Warriors until 2014.
The 22-year-old has signed the deal after setting up two tries in a man-of-the-match display against Cardiff Blues last Friday, as Glasgow's 31-3 win kept them on course for a RaboDirect Pro12 play-off place.
Head coach Sean Lineen said: "He's a player whose ability has always been clear, and he's now benefiting from getting a run in the side to prove to the wider audience that he can more than hold his own at this level."
Lineen added: "His displays in the Ospreys, Aironi and Cardiff matches have been very exciting to watch - he's got power and pace and he's also an elusive runner when he gets up that head of steam.
"There's plenty more to come from Alex if he keeps working hard at his game."
Lockerbie-born Dunbar, who has made 18 RaboDirect appearances for Glasgow, said: "There's a great buzz around the whole club about the opportunity we have to finish strongly in the RaboDirect PRO12, and everyone is determined to keep winning for ourselves and the supporters."
Dunbar is the 18th player to extend his Glasgow contract for the coming seasons while Sean Lamont, Viliami Ma'afu, Tim Swinson and Angus Macdonald have been secured for summer arrivals.
