    Ellis cleared to face France

England forward Gareth Ellis has been cleared to play against France in Sunday's final of the autumn international series at the City of Salford Stadium.

The former Leeds and Wests Tigers second-rower, who is joining Hull for 2013, was put on report by New Zealand referee Shane Rehm during last Saturday's 44-6 win over the French following a tackle that left full-back Cyril Stacul with concussion.

The incident was scrutinised by a match-review panel on Monday morning and, according a Rugby Football League spokesman, it was decided Ellis would face no further action.
