    Ennis labours in Loughborough

Jessica Ennis was far from at her best but she came through her final competition in Loughborough before the London 2012 Olympics unscathed.

The former world heptathlon champion and new British record holder took part in the long jump and javelin at the LEAP meeting.

But she recorded just 6.21 metres in the long jump, good enough to win but down 30 centimetres on her season's best.

And then threw 44.73m for fourth place in the javelin, nearly three metres down on her best distance this season in what is consistently her weakest event.
