The show, which again constitutes the German championship and a CCI2*, was won last year by Michael Jung but the Olympic champion will not be there to defend his title.
In his absence, and given that he had dominated both the CCI2* and the CIC3* 12 months ago, the 32-strong three-star field is an open one.
And Germany should have a better chance than most countries of success, given most of the entry list comprises local riders.
Ingrid Klimke, second and thirrd in 2012, will ride only one horse this year, the nine year old Oldenburg Hale Bob 3.
Andreas Dibowski has chosen FRH Fantasia, and It's Me XX for the occasion, while Eskadia 2 will be under his saddle in the 2*.
Andreas Ostholt will ride So Is Et and Pennsylvania 28, the latter having performed well recently, having come second at the CIC3* of Sopot early August.
Dirk Schrade will ride Edino after placing second with at the CIC2* of Fürstenau in July.
Four foreigners will attempt to challenge the Germans on their home ground: Danish rider Peter Tersgov Flarup/Calista E, Italian Fabio Magni with Traiga Suerte and Usabella, and the Swede Hannes Melin/ Piccadilly Z.
