Swede Flodin will compete on the Barum Czech Rally Zlín two weeks after having a cast removed from his right hand after he broke a finger while training with his country’s motorsport federation.
“I was being like Mike Tyson,” said the Petter Solberg Engineering M-Sport Ford Fiesta S2000 driver.
“It was a training programme for the Swedish federation and we were boxing when it happened.
"My hand has been out of a cast for two weeks. I might have some pain when I am driving and using the handbrake but it won’t be a problem."
Flodin, who earned the Colin McRae IRC Flat Out Trophy for his second-place finish on the Sibiu Rally in Romania last month, was forced to miss Giru di Corsica-Tour de Corsica while he recovered from a broken collarbone.
The Barum Czech Rally Zlín takes place from August 31-September 2.
