Football - Cook eyes Lester boost

Chesterfield boss Paul Cook hopes to have Jack Lester available when they make the trip to promotion-chasing Cheltenham.

The veteran striker missed Saturday's trip to Dagenham with a virus and faces a late check.

However, Cook may opt to name an unchanged side having secured a 1-0 win at Victoria Road.

Skipper Sam Togwell is expected to continue in midfield having made a successful return from a hamstring problem, while forward Armand Gnanduillet also impressed on his first start for the club.

Cook has no other injury or suspension worries with only Craig Clay set for a spell on the sidelines as he continues to receive treatment on a hernia problem.

The Spireites have won just three of their 10 league matches since the turn of the year and have fallen 10 points adrift of the play-off places.
