Adcock sent off Vadaine Oliver in the second half but the Alex, who went into the game without a win in eight, snatched victory after Aneke stooped to head home Matt Tootle's cross at the back post, just two minutes after coming on.
"I think he thought the game was about him," Davis fumed. "That everyone had come to watch him, not the game, and I told him that afterwards.
"The crowd were getting on to him and the linesman missed two or three offsides I felt as well.
"I thought it was a really poor performance, without going into any detail of course.
"But with 10 men against 11 and the referee and the linesman not particularly helping us, we can't do any better than that.
"We had a few good chances, ones other teams would take, so we should have punished them in the first half.
"And you always think that when they don't go in that at 0-0 in the second half, one little mistake might let them back in it. That's how it's been going.
"We've been going behind because of those instances. But here they were solid."
