The Rams already knew their first match is at home to Blackburn after the Football League announced six special league fixtures to be played on the opening weekend to mark its 125th anniversary.
The Brighton game is followed by a local derby at home to Leicester on August 17, which is followed by a trip to newly-promoted Yeovil and a home clash with Burnley.
The local derbies against Nottingham Forest take place on September 28 (away) and March 22 (home).
Derby head to Huddersfield on Boxing Day and return to Yorkshire three days later to face Barnsley before hosting FA Cup holders Wigan on New Year's Day.
The final home game is against Watford on April 26 before the campaign ends at Leeds the following weekend.
