Prandelli admitted the decision to have their loved ones close to them at the Confederations Cup earlier this year helped his players perform better.
"At the Confederations Cup, we opened our hotel to our families and children. The response was really good," Prandelli said to www.figc.it.
"I will speak to the players and we will decide how we will do this as it is they (the players) who have to be calm.
"To have the families close by, especially the children, helps to ease the tension."
Italy ended the Confederations Cup in Brazil in third place after edging Uruguay in a penalty shoot-out.
The Azzurri finished their World Cup qualifying campaign unbeaten.
