Ferdinand is in Noel King's squad to face the Dutch at Tallaght Stadium on Wednesday, February 6.
The 20-year-old was born in London but qualifies to play for the Republic because of an Irish father. He has represented his country at Under-16 and Under-18 level.
Ferdinand joined Posh from Southend in the summer and has made 19 appearances in all competitions for the npower Championship club.
