But Robins, whose side were denied all three points by a late equaliser from Dwight Gayle, was disappointed not to win the game.
He said: "It's a point gained and the positive is that we move up the table.
"We are devastated not to win the game but we fell into the bottom three and we've only been there a week.
"There are going to be many more twists and turns before the end of the season."
Robins said: "In all fairness a draw was probably the right result.
"This was a tough, tough game and Peterborough have been in good form."
Robins said his players worked hard and added: "I am not going to be too critical of them at this stage but we have to start seeing games out.
"What happens this season is still in our hands. We have Wolves and Blackburn up next and it's what we do that matters. We don't have to rely on other results."
