Football - Robinson ready to shake-up Dons

Karl Robinson threatened to wield the axe after 10-man Dons went down to a Mathias Pogba double in a 2-1 defeat at Crewe.

The Dons boss was fuming as Pogba cancelled out Patrick Bamford's opener then struck the winner before Anthony Kay picked up two yellow cards.

Robinson said: "That was a shambles. We were the best team for the first half-hour but the final half-hour was totally unacceptable and I apologise to the fans.

"I will be here next season but if they keep playing like that then some of those players won't be.

"We have some good young players at this club and I will start playing them instead - it might mean more to them.

"We should have had a penalty for a blatant handball and their first goal comes from a free-kick that was given but nobody knows what for.

"We are struggling because we only had four people on the bench and three people playing who could only manage an hour and it's hard but our mentality should be stronger when the fatigue kicks in.

"I can't defend Anthony Kay. It was two blatant yellow cards and he has let everyone at the club down."
