Sub-zero temperatures are forecast during Friday night, as well as more snow, so the decision was taken early after advice from the Stadium Advisory Group to avoid any uncertainty.
The Memorial Stadium and the surrounding area have been covered in a blanket of snow, which is not expected to clear anytime soon.
