Football - Saracens leave Vicarage Road

Watford have bid farewell to Saracens after the rugby club ended their 16-year stay at Vicarage Road on Sunday.

The Men in Black first took the field at Watford's Hertfordshire home in 1997 but their emphatic 40-7 victory over Edinburgh in the Heineken Cup this weekend brought the curtain down on their tenancy.

Saracens will now move to their new Allianz Park home in Barnet.

A statement on Watford's official website concluded: "Everyone at Watford FC hopes Saracens continue to enjoy success as their new era begins."
