Football - Westley low on numbers

Graham Westley will once again patch up the walking wounded among his Preston squad for the FA Cup third-round trip to Millwall.

Nicky Wroe returned to the starting line-up against Hartlepool on New Year's Day despite a persistent knee complaint and helped North End to their first npower League One win for nine matches, although the former Torquay midfielder did miss a first-half penalty.

Jack King climbed off his sickbed to help the victory effort although Lee Holmes (groin) remains out.

Bailey Wright sustained a head injury at Victoria Park and could join fellow defenders David Buchanan (unspecified), Paul Huntington, Scott Laird (broken leg) and Keith Keane (knee) and striker Lee Trundle (hamstring) on the sidelines.

"We only had 13 on the training ground on Thursday morning and there are a few rated 50/50, so there probably won't be too many more available for the weekend," Westley told Preston's official website.

Chelsea youngster Todd Kane is available for the final time before his loan spell expires, while Anthony Elding has returned to Grimsby.
