Wilson was frustrated by referee Carl Boyeson's refusal to point to the spot when winger Ryan Flynn went down in the box in the latter stages at Bramall Lane.
"I thought we played really well, both teams had a go and it was nip and tuck," said Wilson.
"I thought we took control of it in the second half and we dominated for large, large periods. I think they only really had one half-chance when the boy went through, but he's gone down and he's rightly booked for simulation.
"And then the other side of it, we've got Ryan. We've looked at it I don't know how many times and it's a stonewall penalty. You look at the decision referees give sometimes; we had a game last week where we complained about the referee because of his inconsistency and today was exactly the same.
"We won last week, we didn't win this week but I thought overall it was a good game for large parts even though it was nil-nil. The few chances that did fall our way, we didn't quite get the rub of the green."
The visitors thought they should have been given a penalty after Patrick Bamford took a tumble in the box in the 76th minute, but the Chelsea loanee was booked for diving. Dons manager Karl Robinson felt it was a spot-kick but conceded the Blades were unlucky not to be awarded a penalty in the first half for a handball.
"I don't think anyone could've come off and been disheartened with that," Robinson said. "The frustration lies within that I thought we should have had a penalty in the second half. But, if we get that, then it's a little bit unfair on Sheffield United. But you do ask that key decisions are right."
Robinson was also left to rue his side's mid-table position after taking eight points off the top two in League One this season. He added: "I'm pleased today; you've got to accept the draw because it was a fair result.
"We beat Sheffield United at home and we beat Doncaster at home and took a point away from home against the two of them and that's promotion form - that's the frustrating thing about it. The best two teams in the league, we've taken eight points in those four games. We should've done better in other games."
