In front of thousands of spectators in the German city, the hosts edged out Great Britain and Sweden for gold to gear up for London in fine style.
Favourite for Olympic gold Michael Jung confirmed his form of his horse La Biosthetique Sam FBW by coming in second, while the world champion also guided Leopin FST into eighth place.
"I did not take any risks," said Jung. "For the Olympic Games, I still have work to do, as you could see in the dressage.
"We have quite a strong team, and mentally we are very solid."
Sandra Auffarth - the youngest rider on the German team at 25 years of age - booked her Olympic ticket atop Opgun Louvo with a fourth-place finish.
Dirk Schrade won his selection on King Artus (seventh) and Hop and Skip (15th) while Peter Thomsen on Horseware’s Barny (13th) and Ingrid Klimke on FRH Butts Abraxxas will also be going to London.
