Lewis Hamilton believes Red Bull will be the team to beat in the Japanese Grand Prix.
Mark Webber put the world champion squad on top in Friday practice, and though the Australian reckons there is little to choose between the frontrunners, Hamilton is sure Red Bull is the benchmark.
"The Red Bulls seem like they're very quick," said Hamilton.
"I think I can probably match Mark's time. But if Vettel does a similar time tomorrow it will be very close between them.
"And their long runs were very strong."
But while rating the Red Bull's speed, Hamilton also reckons his McLaren is the most competitive he has ever driven at Suzuka.
"It's definitely better here than it's ever been," he said.
"It's still very close with the Red Bulls, but it feels pretty awesome."
