Hearts manager John McGlynn and his unpaid players have been given assurances they will receive their overdue wages by the close of play on Friday.
McGlynn and six of Hearts' highest earners did not receive their salaries on schedule on Tuesday as the capital club failed to pay their entire squad on time for a second successive month.
"The latest is that everyone will be paid by the end of play today," McGlynn said.
"We've just been told that, so I've not had any reaction from the players, but I'm sure they'll be happy."
September's breach triggered a transfer embargo under new Scottish Premier League regulations, while the SPL board will discuss the situation at Hearts at a meeting on Monday.
Hearts host Motherwell in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League at Tynecastle on Sunday.
