The Turin side have been linked with several strikers, among them former Chelsea star Didier Drogba.
And while Marotta had earlier admitted that Juve were considering a move for Drogba, he now insists that there will be no big coups in the current window.
"I expect the January window to close without any big signings," he told Sky Sports Italia.
"The right opportunity has not presented itself to Juventus.
"We are obviously looking around and evaluating the situation of certain players, but our main objective at the moment is to recuperate injured players and those who will play at the African Cup of Nations."
