Inter Milan came from behind to secure a 2-2 draw with Torino in an entertaining Serie A clash at the San Siro.
The Nerazzurri took the lead through a wonderful free-kick from Cristian Chivu, but two goals from Riccardo Meggiorini turned the match on its head.
Substitute Esteban Cambiasso equalised for Inter but Torino held on for a deserved draw.
Inter’s Antonio Cassano returned from a thigh injury to partner Rodrigo Palacio in attack, with Fredy Guarín supporting.
For a Torino side now unbeaten in six Serie A games, Angelo Ogbonna was still missing after a hernia operation, while Rolando Bianchi was only on the bench despite returning from suspension.
In an enthralling encounter at the San Siro, Torino exposing a ragged Inter defence on several occasions.
The Nerazzurri took the lead after just four minutes when Cassano won a free-kick on the edge of the area and Chivu stepped up to curl an unstoppable shot beyond the outstretched arms of Jean-François Gillet.
Inter, though, began to look increasingly vulnerable, with Alessio Cerci causing them all manner of problems down the right-hand side.
It was he who played the ball into the area for Meggiorini who headed over the bar.
Meggiorini did not have to wait long for his goal, as he capitalised on some dreadful play from Guarin in the area. The Colombian conceded possession after receiving a pass from Handanovic and Meggiorini curled a beautiful left-footed shot into the corner.
That was Meggiorini’s first goal in 20 matches and he added to his tally after the break as he popped up in the area to convert Cerci's cross from the right.
Gillet got down well to hold a fierce low effort from Guarin but Inter were level after 67 minutes.
Javier Zanetti beat the otherwise impressive Guillermo Rodríguez too easily down the right and crossed for Cambiasso who converted from close range.
Torino brought on Valter Birsa in place of the ineffectual Mario Santana and the Slovenian made an instant impact as he crossed for fellow substitute Bianchi who got in front of his man and forced a superb near post save from Handanovic, palming the ball onto the post.
A brilliant pass from Cassano found Palacio in the area but Gillet did superbly to come out and block at the feet of the Argentine.
Torino could have won it late on when Bianchi charged down a clearance and dragged his shot wide of the far post when Meggiorini was in a far better position to score what would have been his third goal of the night.
Inter remain in fourth place after this result, three points behind Lazio in the race for the third Champions League place.
