Preston have signed Chelsea's Todd Kane on a short-term loan deal.
The defender, 19, will link-up with Graham Westley's npower League One side until January 5 and is available for the club's trip to Leyton Orient at the weekend.
Kane has represented England Under-19s and joined Chelsea as an eight-year-old.
He has risen through the club's ranks and captained the Blues' Under-21 side this campaign.
The right-back was a key member of Chelsea's FA Youth Cup winning side last season.
