Rangers boss Harry Redknapp reserved special praise for the striker following his cameo in Saturday's win over Sheffield Wednesday.
Exeter boss Paul Tisdale could recall experienced duo Alan Gow and Tommy Doherty.
The duo, who missed City's final pre-season friendly, started on the bench as Tisdale's men ran out 2-1 winners against Bristol Rovers on Saturday.
Doherty, who made 15 appearances in his three years with QPR, and Gow, who impressed as a second-half replacement, will hope to get the nod from the start against Redknapp's men.
Aaron Dawson will hope to be given a chance at right-back having been a regular in that position during pre-season while Jamie Reid and Jake Gosling are both options for the Football League's longest-serving manager.
