Leroy Lita has returned to Swansea after his loan spell with Birmingham has been cut short by injury.
The striker, 27, has missed Blues' last two npower Championship matches after sustaining a thigh problem in the 1-0 home defeat to Ipswich nine days ago.
Lita's three-month loan spell at the midlands club was due to expire in mid-December but both clubs have now agreed he should return to south Wales for treatment.
However, Birmingham's official website read: "While both clubs are disappointed the loan has been cut short, they have not ruled out the possibility of Lita returning to St Andrew's for another loan spell in the future."
Lita found the net three times in 10 appearances for Birmingham following his arrival in mid-September.
