Man City and Spurs 'agree Adebayor deal'

Tottenham have agreed a deal to sign Emmanuel Adebayor from Manchester City on a permanent basis, according to reports.

The Togolese striker scored 17 Premier League goals in a successful loan spell with the London club last season, and Spurs have been keen to bring him in permanently for some time.

And the departure of then-manager Harry Redknapp, replaced by Andres Villas-Boas, has done nothing appears to have done nothing to quell the interest.

Adebayor, 28, could become a full-time Spurs player as soon as the weekend subject to personal terms.
